COMIC
PROCESS
The Crowded Comic Page was the last step in a semester-long journey of exploring architectural skills and applying them in unique ways. The project features an array of abstract and out-of-the-ordinary ideas that come together in a beautiful way to create a compelling narrative about architecture and its purpose.
3D COLLAGES
Random images taken from the Urbana Archive were printed out and put together to make unique, sculpture-like structures. With each wave of collages, the structures became more focused and highlighted how humans interact with space.
PLAN, SECTION, AND AXON
A focus model was picked out from the 3D collages for further development. The model was studied and translated into architectural drawings showcasing how humans could use the space.
DIGITAL MODELS
More 3D collages were developed, this time in Rhino. Ideas were heavily inspired by the original paper collages. A final model was made as a result of the findings throughout the semester, and the model was given extra details and transformed into a sculpture park.
Final Model
Sculpture Renders
Images were taken from the final model and rendered in Twinmotion, prepping them for the comic. People were later added in Photoshop in accordance with the story.
